WOD Styles competition concept
World of Dance Styles (WOD STYLES) - is a perfect experience for beginners, amateurs, and semi-pro's. For Junior and Upper Divisions - video preselection is required. Specifically for the crews who are competing in any Junior Team/ Team Division - no video preselection is required.

WOD Styles consist of 3 separate dance competitions divided by the dance technics styles
- Contemporary & Jazz-Modern competition
- Hip-hop & Urban choreo competition
- Heels competition
Each competition consist of categories divided by age and quantity:
- WOD Styles Junior division - up to 4 dancers, age: 0-16* (except Heels competition)
- WOD Styles Upper division - up to 4 dancers, age: 16+ only*
- WOD Styles Junior Team division - 5 and more dancers, age: 0-16* (except Heels competition)
- WOD Styles Team division - 5 and more dancers, any age

WOD Styles registration procedure:
For teams competing in the Junior Team/Team Division (5 or more dancers per team), no direct invitation or video pre-selection is required! These categories are open to all teams - you only need to register!
For Junior and Upper Divisions categories (1-4 dancers) - preliminary video selection is required.
The organizer reserves the right to add and exclude certain categories of "styles" depending on the conditions of the event.

Create an application
Create an application for participation in the registration system, upload your music (you can change it later if you need)
Also you can provide link to your any dance video in application if you want promotion from World of Dance social pages. The provided link to the video can be used to promote participants within the event. We reserve the right not to publish the provided video without explanation.

Wait for the result of the application review
For teams, this is a formal check - don't worry if your application is not accepted immediately. Sometimes it takes time. To participate in WOD Styles, your application will be accepted even if it doesn't have a video. But we recommend leaving a link to your demo video so that we can announce your participation on social media. We reserve the right not to publish the submitted video without explanation.

Make an entry payment to confirm the participation
An application is not considered to be finally registered if it is not paid. We urge you to pay for the application as soon as it is approved. Payment details are provided in the registration system. Remember that only approved and payed applications are considered as future participants of an event.
All applications not paid three weeks before the event may be deleted by the event organizer without warning or an additional fee may be charged for late payment. So keep track of your requests and pay in time.

TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION TO USA WORLD FINAL.
Only the Winners of the Championship Qualification to World Final in USA
(Junior Team Division and Team Division – 1, 2, 3 places) receive invitation to the USA Final Event
The World of Dance Championship series is primarily a competition of dance performances.
The idea behind the title championship is that a dance performance can be created in any way, with any dance technique, regardless of age, gender or style! Performance is a cross-international way of communication! That is why we do not divide competitions by style in the main championship and that is why World of Dance Championship is a world-famous brand!

Junior Team Division/Team Division competitors must participate in preliminaries for the TOP 10 Final at WOD CHAMPIONSHIP in Krakow on April 28th to vie for main prizes, including trophies and cash.
Other awards, like Best Costume, Best Theme and Crowd Favorite, are available to all teams.

To participate in the official championship, you must pass a preliminary video selection (preselection is free) or receive a Direct Invite from the organizer!

Qualifiers Competitions for World of Dance USA Final:
A limited number of performances in the category through video selection. The video selection for this category will be held no later than 3 weeks before the event.
The winners of the Competition category who qualify for the World of Dance USA Final (Junior Team and Team Division only - 1st, 2nd, 3rd places) receive exclusive World of Dance Cups and invitations to the final event in the United States. Videos of all qualification winners (Junior Team and Team - 1st, 2nd, 3rd places) will be posted on the official YouTube channel World of Dance. Solo's
Each participant of the event pays a registration fee, unless it is changed by the organizer.
Special registration circumstances
If there are less than 6 (six) registered participants for a Junior Teams division competition, the Junior Teams division competition may be excluded from that particular World of Dance competition. Teams that were originally registered in the Junior Teams division will be transferred to the Teams division if the organizer decides to do so.
Transfer from category to category
Transfer from one category to another is possible no later than two weeks before the event. If the transfer request is received less than a two weeks in advance, the cost of the service is 20 Euro.
Solo's
Each participant of the event pays a registration fee, unless it is changed by the organizer.
- For Juniors categories, 1 (one) official dance team leader can attend the event free of charge, but cannot perform.
- For Upper Solo performers, we do not provide the additional free of charge.
- Duets, Trio and groups of 4 participants and less. Each participant of the event pays a registration fee, unless it is changed by the organizer. 1 (one) official dance team leader can attend the event free of charge, but cannot perform with the group.
- Groups competing from 5 participants and more. Each participant of the event pays a registration fee, unless it is changed by the organizer. If the leader of the dance team dances with the team, the registration fee may be waived, please contact the organizer of the event. If the leader does not perform, he automatically gets free access to the event
Special registration circumstances
If there are less than 6 (six) registered participants for a Junior Teams division competition, the Junior Teams division competition may be excluded from that particular World of Dance competition. Teams that were originally registered in the Junior Teams division will be transferred to the Teams division if the organizer decides to do so.

All participants must upload audio files for their performance no later than one week (7 days) before the event. After the deadline, it is also possible to update and add a soundtrack - the cost of the service is 20 Euro.
All audio files must be in mp3, m4a, wav format and attached to the application for participation in the registration system.
Participants must independently check their soundtracks for the presence of profanity - profanity is unacceptable! World of Dance Organizing Team have a right additionally conduct Music Screening Process.
For the use of profanity in the phonogram, the judges will deduct points!
The duration of the phonogram for Team Division and Junior Team Division should not exceed 6 minutes! The duration of the phonogram for Upper Division and Junior Division should not exceed 2 minutes!
If the music does not meet the conditions, the music file can be replaced in the registration system before the deadline.
Pay attention to the selection rules! If the organizers ask you to change and re-upload your music file more than twice, you will be excluded from the event.

Calculation methodology
Depending on the number of judges on the panel, 2 different counting principles are used:
Simple system
Crossed out: 90 (judge 4) and 40 (judge 5)
Total score of the dance team: (60+70+80) / 3 judges = 70 points

One prize place = One winner/team of winners.
If two (or more) teams/participants score the same number of points for one of the prize places, a tie is declared.
In case of a tie, the tiebreaker will be as follows:
Depending on the number of judges on the panel, 2 different counting principles are used:
- If there are 1-4 judges: Simple system
- If there are 5 or more judges: Olympic system

- The scores of all judges are averaged and a single final score is displayed.
- If there are penalty points, the sum of the penalty points is subtracted from the final score.

Venue Area rules
There is a wardrobe inside the location building, where we strongly ask you to leave your outerwear. For changing into stage costumes you can use any free space in the room, but not in the places of fire exits!

Event public agreement
ATTENTION!: By visit the event, you have read and accept the following conditions:
- If you attend the event, you automatically agree to all health-safety, security, and fire safety rules of the Venue.
- The organizers strongly recommend that all participants have health insurance valid on the date of the event. In case of injury to participants during the festival, the organizers, in the absence of such insurance, are not responsible for the health of the participants.
- If you need documents confirming your presence on our event , please inform the organizers in advance so that we can prepare them in time.
- The organizers are not responsible for accidents of participants or other persons during the event.
- The person who creates an account for registration of one or more participants, registers one or more participants, firstly, must obtain official permission from the persons or official representatives of the persons whom he registers, to place personal data in the registration system.
- A person who creates an account to register one or more participants, registers one or more participants, has no right to place personal data of other persons without obtaining official permission from these persons or their official representatives

- By completing the registration procedure, you automatically agree that you assume all responsibility for the use of copyright and / or related rights (fragments of musical works and / or musical works in their entirety) and all possible appeals and / or claims of copyright holders will be resolved by you independently (without involving the Organizer) in accordance with the procedure established by the current legislation of Poland. The organizers and partners of the talent project are not responsible for your use of copyright and / or related rights during the performances and the display of such performances in real time and / or in recording via the Internet.
- By completing the registration procedure, you fully waive any rights to photo and video materials made within the project, which depict you (your performance) and / or your property, and acknowledge the full right of the Organizers to use the above materials at their discretion, including for editorial, commercial purposes, including, but not limited to, by displaying such materials in real time and / or recording via the Internet, as well as for any other purposes.
- Refunds in case of refusal to participate are considered individually after the event in each case. Refunds may not be made or not in full depending on the decision of the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right not to make refunds. The organizer does not compensate for any financial and moral losses of participants and spectators. At the time of registration for the event, participants and spectators automatically waive any claims against the Organizer.
- Refunds for participation, spectator tickets and master classes in case of cancellation of the event due to force majeure or force majeure (military actions, restrictions on holding mass events, quarantine, etc.) are considered individually.
